Dump

Terms of Use · Updated 20 Oct 2026

Terms, in plain words

Plain rules for using Dump. By using the app or this website, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Who we are

These terms are an agreement between you and MsExtEmp, Inc., 220-410 Adelaide Street West, Toronto ON M5V 1S8, Canada ("we", "us"), which makes Dump.

Using Dump

You need to be at least 16 to use Dump. If you use it for a company or another organization, you agree to these terms for it too.

Your stuff

What you add stays yours, and so does your brief: use it however you like.

You let us store what you add, copy it, send it to our AI providers and show it back to you, and put your brief on a share page when you make a link, only to run Dump for you. This permission ends when you remove something, apart from copies in backups until they expire.

What you can't do

Only add things you have the right to use. Don't use Dump to break the law or someone else's rights, to share malware, to harass people, or to make anything our AI providers' usage policies forbid. Don't try to get around Dump's limits, get into accounts or servers that aren't yours, or overload our servers.

AI briefs

AI models write your brief, and they can be wrong or miss things. Each point shows the numbers of its sources: check them before you rely on a brief, and don't make medical, legal or financial decisions from a brief alone.

Links and sharing

When you add a link, Dump fetches that page for you. A share link is public: anyone who has it can read your brief. Share only what you're happy for others to see.

The beta

Dump is in beta and free for now. It can break, change or lose things, so keep your own copies of anything important. After heavy use, Dump may pause reading and brief updates until the next day; adding still works.

Paying

When Dump moves to the Mac App Store, it becomes a subscription with a free trial. Apple handles payment, renewals, cancellation and refunds under its own terms, and you manage your subscription in your Apple Account. Apple's standard license agreement for App Store apps applies alongside these terms.

Each plan includes a monthly amount of AI use. When it runs out, reading and brief updates pause until it refills or you add more; adding still works. If your subscription ends, your canvas keeps working, your brief stays at its last version, and we keep your data until you delete it.

Ending

You can stop using Dump at any time; to delete your data, see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts Dump or other people at risk. If we ever shut Dump down, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before.

Our stuff

The Dump app, website, name and design belong to us. Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer them, except where the law allows it.

The fine print

Dump is provided as is, without warranties, as far as the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or US$50 if that's more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't let us limit, or your rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless the law where you live lets you bring them to your local courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, if a change matters, tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Dump after that, the new terms apply.
